Morgan Trusts & Tax Planning Limited is a specialist firm of solicitors. We provide specialist advice on capital tax planning, trust creation and administration, Will preparation and post death estate administration (usually called probate), powers of attorney and all matters related to the Office of the Public Guardian and Court of Protection and to care of the elderly issues generally. As many of our existing clients are farmers and landed estates or existing trusts we also advise on all the legal/financial issues related to trust and land administration.
The company already has an established client base of longstanding clients. Therefore, we only take referrals from existing clients and the network of land agents, financial advisors, stockbrokers and accountants with whom we work regularly. We are conscious that parts of the legal profession have a reputation for being slow in delivering services to clients, so we are always careful to never take on too much work preferring to do a smaller number of jobs promptly.
The company strongly believes in a collaborative approach to tax work and will always seek to work closely with a client’s other existing advisors. This approach extends to other law firms: as we only specialise in traditional ‘private client’ services we work closely with other firms on matters relating to property, litigation, divorce and planning law for instance.
The employees of the company see themselves very much as ‘a team’. All of the employees have worked with James Morgan, the owner of the company, for many years and (in the case of three of the lawyers) for nearly two decades.
